BBQ Beef in a Bun

2 pounds ground beef
1 large yellow onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
14 ounce can diced tomatoes with liquid
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
1 bay leaf
8 sandwich buns, split and lightly toasted
- Gather all ingredients.
- In a pan cook ground beef, onions, and garlic. Stir often until all pan juices evaporate and beef is browned.
- Stir in tomatoes with their liquid.
- Add remaining seasoning ingredients. Mix well.
- Bring mixture to a low simmer; cook 10 – 15 minutes to blend flavors
- Spoon BBQ beef in the buns. Enjoy!
